This is a question that I am very sincere about as I write this. Many people are very nervous and concerned with the present business climate here in the U.S. There are many things we can discuss that would be of benefit for you and your business.

Self-Reliance And You

One of the most important traits we can develop is self-reliance, especially when it comes to our financial futures. Why self-reliance? How long do you think our government can sustain this out of control spending? Too many people have chosen to believe that the government can help them but, in reality, are allowing themselves to become trapped.
This is obviously not a place any of us should wish to be! However, due to many factors, including low self-belief, a number of people think that tying their futures to the government is the way to get through life.

A better solution is to spend less time watching TV or other forms of entertainment and work at what it may take to start your own business in a passion of your own.

By using the following template, a person can determine if they can monetize their idea. Our rewards in life are based on the goods and services we can produce and how easy or difficult we are to replace in the market.

By truly thinking, reflecting and working in a business of your passion, you will be well on your way to self-reliance!

Speed And Dependability

Recently, I added an additional distinction regarding those I do business with. I had started to come to this conclusion myself but had this thought accelerated by a man from the midwest who deals with many small businesses and assists their profitability.
He shared his views on this idea of speed and dependability and it really helped me get my mind around the importance of this with what I do, working as a joint venturer and deal-maker with people throughout the country.
For example, let's say I am able to put together a good deal between a person from the east coast and someone from the midwest. As we look to get this moving the east coast person is dragging their feet and not taking the steps we had agreed on to make this happen.
You can imagine the embarassment I would feel toward myself, but more importantly, with the contact I have in the midwest. The East Coast person is dropping the ball they have literally been handed!!! How many more deals do you think I will present to them? That's right! Zero!
My contact in the midwest really explained it well with his discussion of speed and dependability and how he determines if the businesses he may work with will cut it or not. If they are not showing good passion, appear to be coachable or exhibit other telltale signs of procrastination, he says he just takes a pass on them. In other words, just lets them go and moves on to others who will show the necessary traits of speed and dependability.
I have been blessed as I have a group of people I am working closely with and am at various levels of setting up or thinking about deals for all of them on a daily basis. I know if I can deliver a deal to them with the others in this group that it will get done and will be win-win-win for everyone involved!
This group is called the Big Thinkers Extra Mile Team or BTEMT for short. I am always looking for more people who will pass this threshold and join this group. If you know of additional business people who will fit this idea, please have them contact me and I would love to help them with more deals.

This article has to do with a concept I have learned from a true master and is called incremental profit. It is a key principle behind the power and leverage of joint ventures. This idea will be thoroughly explained during this presentation. First of all, I want to use an example I heard from Robert Kiyosaki of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad book and CD series. Robert says business is a team sport and I totally agree! I have seen so many people, myself included, who try to go it alone and grind it out when there are far better ways to leverage your time, efforts and energy!
What I learned from this master in the field was how to set up joint ventures or strategic alliances, same thing, and incremental profit is a key reason for doing this. So what is incremental profit and why should you add this to your business toolbox?
All of us know people others don’t know. All of us have one or two, perhaps three areas of strength or genius others don’t have and vice versa. One of the biggest myths we all hear is to work on and develop our weaknesses. Well, even if we do, we are still only reaching mediocrity! As an example, I am not what you would call “Mr. High Tech” nor do I want to be! My gifts are in developing rapport and teaming with others, creating value and connecting people to each other. These are things that make my motor run and I am very passionate about! Why should I make myself insane trying to learn all about high tech when my solution is to team up with someone who is already there, trade skills and work out a joint venture? Yet I speak with people all the time who think they have to learn every piece of high tech for their business to be successful. They are wasting time, effort, energy and most important, their life juice! Team up with someone who is already good and stop playing the lone wolf!!!! Business is a team sport!!! This is the mindset you need to develop if you are going to get ahead in your business!
Now, let’s discuss incremental profit and how it can and will leverage what you are doing with your business. Here are some examples in easy to understand ways that you can apply right away.
So many people, ie, lone wolves, want to have all the profit all the time and that is a limiting mindset that will hold you and your business back! Learn to be a deal-maker and connector with others so it is win-win for everyone!
Here is a key question you need to ask yourself as you start your journey toward incremental profit. Who do I know that has a variety of contacts within their business? How can I add value for that person as well as their business contacts? You are looking for business people who possess the qualities of speed and dependability as well as those you already have rapport with.
Emphasize you have a way to help them become more profitable without taking away from what they are currently earning in their business.
Here is how incremental profit can work for them and an explanation of how not all profit is equal.
Let’s say we use an example of a business that has set expenses of $1000.00 per month. This number is just for demonstration purposes so please follow along. If your business made $1500.00 that same month, your profit would have been $500.00 which is $1500.00 minus $1000.00 set expenses. If this same business were to joint venture with you and produced more value and sales to their clients of $1200.00 and split it 50-50 with you, they would add $600.00 to their bottom line and so would you! Now, your business connection made the $1500.00 gross plus an additional $600.00 of pure profit. Their overall profit would be $500.00 plus $600.00 or $1100.00! Do you think they would be open to that?
But Tim, would if they are afraid I may take their clients? They don’t even have to ask this question but you assume they may be thinking this as they revert to their “lone wolf, them against the world ways.” You say to them, “look, I am in this for the long run in ways that will help both of us. I am not Congress or Wall Street trying to rip you off!” It would make no sense to sabotage a good symbiotic relationship and our friendship where we both benefit and lose the future opportunity to do more deals with you and some of your business contacts. Remind them, none of us are selling a service or a product but a feeling, state or mood. Our relationship is the most important issue here!
Now imagine we repeat this process in additional creative ways and your business contact makes their monthly $1500.00 or $500.00 profit plus $600.00 more incremental pure profit, a second deal nets them another $500.00 and a third deal brings in $700.00 for them. As I add this up, their profit went from $500.00 per month to $2300.00 monthly!!! Do you think they may be interested in speaking further with you and if we painted this picture?
My role in this process is to help you connect with others as well as assist you and them with working “on” their business. Joint ventures, with their incremental profit, are great ways to do this!

The Delaware Beach Experience

The Delaware Beaches
After spending a week in August down in Rehoboth and speaking with a number of people there, it became very obvious why so many people visit this area every year. On a good "beach day," you can see colorful umbrellas dotting the entire region, whether they’re on the sand or at outdoor cafés. Best of all, the distance to the water is never far, regardless of where you set yourself up. Rehoboth is a great location where you can relax with friends and family and enjoy the sights.

You have the choice of good restaurants throughout the town as well as a variety of activities when the swimming or sunbathing is over. Nearby on Route 1 there are the outlets, which encourage a variety of shopping experiences, or you can stay in town and find even more new and unusual purchases. I found the shop owners to be very friendly as I went through a number of shops and spoke with them and the people working there. I also got a very strong impression that most of the stores are owned by very good business people.

As far as lodging is concerned, there are nationally known hotel and motel chains as well as inns, rental homes, and bed & breakfasts. It is a good idea to contact the B&Bs early, as the ones with the best reputations fill up quickly and remain booked throughout the peak season of the summer months.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable time for our group of eleven, who stayed about two miles outside Rehoboth in a rental home. It was equipped with all the comforts you would have in your own home and worked out extremely well. Even with a large number in your group, you still have a lot of choices in that area.

With this writing, I had a "rush of brains to the head" and am working with an outstanding businesswoman who has really helped me with this information. The PA to Delaware Beaches Connection

Just got back from a wonderful week spent down in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware and it was wonderful! There are many great things about this area that makes it an excellent place to do business and that is why I joined their Chamber of Commerce as well.
First of all, their beach area and boardwalk allows you to experience many of the excellent shops, ocean swimming, site seeing, etc. It is no wonder that over six million people visit this area every year!
Carol Everhart, the President and CEO of the Rehobeth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau was a huge help as she discussed how this area is truly in the "sweet-spot" for vacationers.
With no tax on purchases, Delaware offers shoppers a better deal than their neighboring states do. Additionally, within three and a half hours, there are 24 million people! No wonder many continue to flock to these beaches several times each summer and return year after year.
With the variety of things to do,see and experience there, it makes a great deal of sense to visit this beautiful region of the country! That is certainly my goal and to do this while assisting the open-minded businesses that wish to continue to grow more and more every year.
I will also be spreading the word about the Delaware Beaches to many of my contacts and connections up and down the east coast and point them to the businesses I am coaching. The clients I know will be very pleased with the deals and experiences Success Learning Systems will be able to arrange for them in this beautiful part of the country!

A new niche

This version of Success Learning Systems is set up to let others know about a niche that has really captured my interest. Why niche? There are so many areas that people can focus in an the only way to really zero in on some key issues is to establish a niche where business can be done with like minded people.
Since I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, assisting businesses and entrepreneurs, I have decided to focus in on working with businesses along the Delaware Beaches areas. They are beautiful, within three hours for many people and can use business coaching during this recession.
There are a number of ideas I will be proposing to them that will absolutely help the positive, open-minded businesses increase their profits and I am excited to start this!
Enjoying my life and career and helping others do the same is a high priority and this direction will cover much of that.

Why Joint Ventures Are Important To Your Business

This article is designed to assist businesses and entrepreneurs improve their profitability during good or bad economic times. It has to do with joint ventures/strategic alliances and how they work.
One of the keys to developing the proper mindset is to understand incremental profit. J. Paul Getty said, "I would rather have one percent of 100 men's efforts than 100% of my own." So many people want to have the whole entire loaf for themselves rather than teaming up with others and getting 40 or 50 percent of the loaf but do this over and over again. Understanding this concept will allow you to create much more profit for you over the long run than trying to keep everything yourself.
What is a key to a joint venture? Developing a rapport and the ability to work with someone who has a number of people they already serve and teaming up with them. By piggybacking on another businesses' goodwill with their clients, you can work out a split so both businesses benefit.
It is win-win for each business as the one with the clients can increase their profit, his clients get access to another quality good or service and the new business gains clients and profit!

What Would Google Do? The Long Tail

The following information is based two incredible books I found just a few weeks ago. The first title is What Would Google Do? By Jeff Jarvis and came out in 2009.
Why is this book so significant? What Jarvis has done is reverse engineer Google from the present back to when it began in 1998. The number of breakthroughs, marketing advances and changes instituted by Google are truly astounding!
Some of these are as follows:
1) The world and Google have moved or will move away from mass marketing toward niche marketing. This is further explained in another key book and resource called The Long Tail by Chris Anderson. (Both books will literally allow to “crystal ball” the future as well as where things are going in the present.) Niche marketing can be explained by understanding how online communities, such as blogs, are forming with those of similar interests. Mass marketing is working less and less due to greater fragmentation or niches within the market. This concept is very important to know and understand within any business as the rules are rapidly changing.
2) Blogging is making much of society and business more transparent in that we are receiving news and information from many sources vs. just 25 years ago when it was newspapers, certain magazines and only four television networks. These additional sources have exploded and opened up numerous outlets of information. It is the equivalent of any of the major news sources having literally thousands of fact checkers behind each story so they better be accurate!
An example, Dan Rather of CBS, doomed his career when he held to a story on President Bush and his National Guard records. The false records appeared, not with a 1970’s typewriter, but a word processor that came out years later. The bloggers got involved, fact-checked this and showed why CBS’ story was based on inaccurate information. Had Rather realized the extent of this new media called blogging, he would have quickly revised his position on this, apologized for the misinformation and changed course. Unfortunately for Rather, he was caught in an earlier era and vastly underestimated the truth-checking bloggers.
These are just two examples of how the new economy and 21st century are blowing away the industrial model of society. Only by understanding these changes will you be able to move ahead in the world and in your life! I highly recommend these books.
They are a necessary addition to any entrepreneur or business person’s resources.

What Would Google Do?

Jeff Jarvis' incredible book, What Would Google Do has sparked so much thought and reflection in just the past few days since buying it that I wanted to share some of his ideas. It will fit very well in Launching Your Dreams, Developing the Entrepreneur mindset.
1) Atoms are a drag! What does this mean? According to Jarvis, thinking along the lines of your business going in the direction of information vs. a good or product is moving from a physical form to a digital one. If you can follow Google's marketing lead and what Jarvis discusses, we should be moving into the digital world and modeling the marketing breakthroughs of Google and those who have contributed to it.
2) The intelligence of the crowd of people using the web and contributing to it in a variety of ways such as blogs. People want to be able to contribute and the internet is the great leveling field that lets all kinds of ideas out there for debate.
3) Jarvis also says, "be a platform, join a network, we can't do it all anymore and we all need to collaborate." This certainly fits what Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad business education books says. Business is a team sport and so it is true that collaborating with other masterminds in this high tech age is the way we should be going.

Understand and learn the new world of information and get unstuck from the industrial model from yesterday. The education system is still in the old model in many ways and will need to change if students are going to be able to move ahead in the world. Learning entrepreneur skills, staying up on things, remaining very agile in the market and ongoing learning has never been more important! We can not do it all and need to team up with others who "play at what we have to work at." What that means is, in my case, is to do the things I am good at such as promoting and marketing others and team up with incredibly talented young people for my website assistance and search engine optimization to name a few. Keep this in mind as you go forward with your entrepreneur skills and team up with others that can make that climb with you and reward them very well!

Launch Your Dreams! Key tips

Welcome to the first of many blogs that will help you Launch Your Dreams and coach you on developing the entrepreneur mindset. Why not use your passion, hobby or skill set and put a business around it? This is something YOU CAN DO and I will show you specific steps to take and make it happen. I will also be showing you how to set up several pillars or streams of income from your own business as you get it set up.
Tip # 1- Turn off the TV more often and think, really think, about what it is you are good at and how it would fit this value template. "Our rewards in life are based on the goods and services we produce for others and how easy or difficult we are to replace in the market." "We can have almost anything we want in this world if we help enough other people get what they want."
If your hobby, passion or skill set fit these templates of creating value, you should be able to form a business around it.

Tip #2- Think of increasing your odds of success by starting a home based business as it allows you to control your overhead costs much more efficiently. There is an excellent book out there that will give you the basics and more of how to set up a home based business. It's title is The Perfect Business by Michael LeBoeuf and he has many ideas and strategies that will help you on your way with this endeavor.

The world has changed and thinking strictly as an employee is hazardous to your future financial health and wealth! This is not to say you should quit your day job but use some of the time you have after that day job to explore and think about a business of your own. You will be making the very best investment that you can, in your own ongoing learning and financial education! You are worth it and deserve the very best life has to offer!

This initial blog post and future ones will do it's best to follow Jeff Jarvis' excellent book, What Would Google Do? There are many great points in the book but one that truly stood out was "be a platform that will allow other to succeed."
Success Learning Systems Launch Your Dreams will present such a platform in that it is designed to quickly and effectively coach people how to develop the ENTREPRENEUR MINDSET and do this in 30 days or less!
How much sense does it make, in our current economy, to stand in longer and longer lines for fewer and fewer positions? Many people are doing exactly that! Consider these scenarios that are going on around the country and here are two specific examples:
